Kindergarten Tutoring

Every child enters kindergarten with different experiences and skills. Kindergarten tutoring focuses on building strong foundations in reading, writing, and math while developing confidence and independence as a learner.

Learning targets may include:

  • Letter naming, sound recognition, and phonemic awareness
  • Decoding and reading simple, decodable texts with increasing fluency
  • Phonetic spelling using CVC words, blends, digraphs, and silent-e patterns
  • Proper letter formation and beginning sentence writing
  • Counting forward and backward with increasing fluency
  • Number recognition, subitizing, and early skip-counting skills
  • Addition and subtraction strategies within 10
  • Early math fact fluency and word-problem strategies

Individualized Learning

Sessions are tailored to each student's current skills and needs. Learning targets may be adjusted as foundational skills develop and new areas of growth are identified.
